Flowers and Jewelry

And when the message of these actions is adoration and the addressee is a lady, it's better not to forget a bouquet of flowers as one of the proofs. Ask Egyptians, if you don't believe. In their language the words "bouquet" and "life" sound identically.

The numerous surveys show that alongside with jewelry flowers are considered to be one of the most appreciated things as they make us feel wanted, special and loved.

Flowers are infinitely allegoric. They symbolize beauty, spirit, innocence, spring, virtue, youth, etc. For our ancestors flowers were oftenfilled with a number of deeper meanings. Thus, rose is a known symbol of love and discretion. The lily-of-the-valley stands for humility or modesty.

Sometimes different meanings are given to one flower. One of the common characteristics of flower symbolism is that it refers to female or passive principle of universal existence.

In mythology there are numerous descriptions of flower gardens. In many religions flowers have always played a formidable role. In the Aztec civilization flower gardens were not only made to please the eyes of the people but they depicted the history of the creation of the cosmos. In Hinduism and Buddhism the lotus flower had a very serious ritual role. In the ancient world and later in the Christian faith flowers symbolized springtime and light. In the ancient Greece it was customary to throw flowers and leaves to a winner of a contest as it was connected with the faith of Gods and heroes. The Celts and Old Germans thought that flowers, along with trees, water and stars, had a soul.

Flowers were used to decorate temples, altars, heroes, gods, priests, pillars, sacrifices and victims. The flower symbolism is ascribed to the pageantry and though little is known of the Celtic one, lots of meanings are still known from the Old Germans.

According to the Bible, flowers symbolize mortality and transition of all earthly things and shortness of the human existence on the Earth.

The color of the flower has its own symbolism: white stands for innocence and purity and also for death, red for vitality and blood, blue for mystery and profound devotion and yellow for warmth, sun and gold.

In the Middle Ages there appeared the so-called language of the flowers". The language of love confessions, farewell words etc., it was a response to the rigid norms of the Middle Ages. Thus, a white rose asked do you love me?" and a red one ruthlessly stated leave me forever". Unfortunately this symbolism is almost lost nowadays.

Above all, flowers remind us all that no matter how pretty, all things are subject to decay. This is the only disappointing fact about them. However, as soon as jewelry comes into force, the life of the flowers gets a new breath. Jewelry flowers, or to be precise, floral ornaments, aren't doomed to a short life span. On the contrary, they will make their owners' life beautiful and happy for a very long time. Nothing can be more appealing to a woman's eye than a gold flower adorned with brilliants. When getting a jewelry gift, the woman at once understands that she's loved and cared for. The language of the flowers often pursuit the similar aims. Flowers incarnated in the jewelry, introduce more joy into our life, make the relations warmer and more special.
